Inappropriate Communications

WebSpirit volunteers approve the posts which are sent by our members. It would be cost prohibitive to open every post to review the entire content, and so these volunteers approve, or not, based on the post title.

Our system has always intended to be “self-policing” by the community itself. We only keep an eye to overlay that when possible, in order to keep real personal damage at a minimum. What we miss, we hope won’t have been personally damaging.

It is up to the community to respond to eachother's posts. That is absolutely the best way for the community to actually respect their own self-generated policy. This works better than seting up a bunch of rules. AND we hope that when people reply to announcements, the resulting dialogue can help build community.

The community itself will set the tone. Community responses, of course, should themselves be in the right tone, in order to reset the tone of another. If community response is not enough, then we will step in and offer council.

One rule, however, is absolute: We do not allow communications which are potentially slanderous, libelous, or malicious. These posts will be denied and saved in case of need for libel action, and the posting member will be denied further access to our system.
